Quick blog tonight...we won our liquor board case against the bar in our neighborhood. This is very unusual for the Baltimore liquor board in cases like ours, but we had a great argument against them and their lawyer wasn't expecting that. They will probably appeal the decision, but we had a lot of community support so hopefully we will keep the decision as is.
In other news, we got elected to the board of our community association, so we are going to stay nice and active. I finished my surgery month (boo!) and am doing a month in the ER, with the usual weird hours of the ED. Not my favorite, but I was able to get our anniversary weekend (2 wks til 1 year of marriage! woot!) and Memorial Day weekend off (my family's visiting, so extra good) and all Sundays. Can't complain about that part of the schedule!
Weather is warming up here. We have discovered that we have a couple of azaleas and they are delightful when in bloom. My seed-nurturing is going pretty well and I think some may be ready for transplanting permanently into the outdoors this week!
James has 2 weeks left of classes, another big exam in June, but then has some cool research for the summer at the NIH.
